Fast Track your way to an Aussie Millions seat!

December 10th 2011

There are more ways than ever to win your way into the Aussie Millions Main Event and thanks to Crown Poker, you could be enjoying the extra value of two added seats thanks to the new “Fast Track” satellite initiative.

The latest announcement to emerge from the Crown Poker Room in Melbourne is the ‘Fast Track’ satellite and it’s sure to please the punters as two $10,600 Aussie Millions Main Event seats are going to be added to the prize pool.

What may be just as enticing as two added seats is the unique format of the Fast Track. These newAussie Millions satellites will give players all the chance they need to snap up an Aussie Millions seat without hurting the wallet.

Crown Poker recently introduced the highly successful $50K Guaranteed accumulator format of events which has now been played at every major tournament series held at Crown since its introduction. The Fast Track satellite draws inspiration from that format of tournament, playing as a repechage/accumulator satellite.

In the Fast Track, players can enter multiple Day 1 flights regardless of whether they bust or not. Any chips that manage to survive to Day 2 will be combined into one stack, while if players do bust, they can keep trying to solidify a Day 2 berth on further Day 1 flights.

There will be a total of four Day 1 flights taking place during the Fast Track, with Flight 1a taking place at 12.10 p.m. on Friday, December 16th and Flight 1b kicking off at the conclusion of that flight at 7.10 p.m. The remaining Flight 2a and Flight 2b will then take place at the same times on Saturday, December 17th.

Each Flight 1 costs $50 enter and players will start with 5,000 in chips. There will then be an optional add-on at the break which will cost a further $50 and award the players with an additional 10,000 chips.

Each Flight 2 will cost $100 to enter and will give the players a bulkier starting bank of 10,000 while the optional add-on will also cost $100 and award an additional 20,000 chips to players.

The unique aspect of this satellite and something which has not been seen before is the ability to buy-in directly on Day 2 of the satellite, which kicks into gear on Sunday, December 18th. For players who wish to skip all the earlier action of the opening flights, then for $400 they can commence play on Day 2 with a 60,000 chip stack. Blinds will be wound back to 500-1000 on Day 2 and with 60,000 chips, this will still give players plenty of play time and we are sure that this will be a popular option.

There will be one Aussie Millions Main Event seat awarded for every $10,600 in the prize pool and of course on top of this, there will also be two seats generously added by Crown Poker. That’s $21,200 in added value and is sure to get players of all kinds scrambling to the felt.

In what will be a first of its kind, the Fast Track satellite is sure to be extremely popular as more and more players try and fulfil their dreams of becoming the next Aussie Millions champion.
